Why You Need an Apple Developer Account
Due to Apple’s new App Store Guidelines to submit your app to the App Store, we will need you to create an Apple Development Program Account.
After you have created your profile, we will submit the app for you.
Prerequisites
Before creating your account, it will save you a lot of time for you to collect your D-U-N-S Number.
- Your D-U-N-S Number is a unique nine digit number that identifies entities on a location-specific basis.

- If you know you entities D-U-N-S number that you can move on and start this process.
- If you do not know what it is, you can use this look up tool to find it.
- D-U-N-S Number Look Up Tool: https://developer.apple.com/enroll/duns-lookup/#/search
- If it turns you do not have a number, you will have the option to submit your information to Dun & Bradstreet for a FREE D-U-N-S Number.
- Once you have obtained this number, you can proceed with the process.
Step 1: Create an Apple ID
- Before you can start the enrollment process, you will need to create an Apple ID.
- Click on this URL to create an Apple ID:

This account should be owned by the DMO in order to prevent any need to repeat this process because of potential employee turnover.
Step 2: Start Your Enrollment
- Once you have created your Apple ID click on this URL:
- Scroll to the bottom and click on "Start Your Enrollment”
- You may need to login. If so it will bring you to this screen:
- If you do not need to login, you will see the following screen.
Step 3: Define Your Entity Type
- Under Entity Type, select: "Company / Organization”
- Then click on "Continue”.
Step 4: Confirm Legal Authority
- You will need to prove that you can sign legal agreements.
- Select the first option if you are the owner/founder
- Select the second option if you have approval from you organization
- If selecting this option it will prompt you to add contact information to prove that you have access to sign legal agreements.

Step 5: Add Your Organization’s Information
- Enter in your organization’s information
Step 6: Enter Captcha Information
- Enter in the characters that you see in the box.
- Then click "Continue”.
Step 7: Confirm Address
- You will be brought to a review screen.
- You will be asked, based off of your D-U-N-S Number, if this is the correct address
- If yes, then check the box
- If yes, then check the box
- Then click "Submit."
What to Expect After Submission
- After you submit, Apple will review your information and approve you.
- When approved, you will receive a phone call to verify your entered information.
- They like to verify over the phone.
- To finish the process, you will be asked to fill out credit card information to pay a yearly membership fee.
- This fee is $99 USD and is required to finish the process.
- You will then receive an email that looks like this:
- You can now login into App Store Connect (https://appstoreconnect.apple.com/) and Apple Developer (https://developer.apple.com/account/).
- To finish off the process, you will need to make our account an admin in App Store Connect so we can submit your app, update your certs, etc.
Add VisitApps as an Admin
To add us as an admin for App Store Connect:
- Go to https://appstoreconnect.apple.com
- Click the "+" button next to Users:
- Enter visitapps-team@simpleviewinc.com into the "Email" field and whatever works for you to know which account this is for the "First Name" and "Last Name" fields:
- Choose the ’Admin’ role and then click ’Invite’.
