What is the Latest Release?
The ‘Latest Release’ table shows you information about the most current app version, for both the Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android).
Accessing the Latest Release Section for Firebase Console
Open the side navigation menu on the Firebase Console. Select the ‘Analytics’ section to open its dropdown menu.
Under the ‘Analytics’ subcategory list, select ‘Latest Release’.
Unlike the other sections of the Firebase Analytics, you cannot filter the data using ‘Filters’ and no default date is applied.

Latest Release - By the Numbers
- App: The app version’s bundle ID name. Sometimes this ID name is the same for both app store versions. You will be able to tell the difference by looking at the icon to the left of the ID. Android version will have a green Android icon. iOS version will have a blue iOS icon.
- Latest Release: The number corresponding to the app version.
- Status: The app versions publishing status in the app stores. Here are the possible status labels you will see:
- Successful release: The release is stable.
- Needs investigation (yellow): 1% of user sessions crashed today and yesterday
- Needs investigation (red): 10% of user sessions crashed today and yesterday
- Previous release: The release’s first day with 10% of daily active users.
- Release in progress: Percentage of daily active users has increased by more than 2% since day one of the release.
- Low adoption: Percentage of daily active users has not increased by more than 2% and has never reached 10%.
- % of active users: Percentage of users that are successfully utilizing the app.
- Crash-free users: Percentage of users who have not experienced any errors or failures with the app.
Select the App Release to be brought to the Detail View Page. Within each app release’s Detailed View page, there are graphs and tables detailing the following information that will be useful to you regarding your app.

Within each app release’s detailed view page, there are graphs and tables detailing the following information that will be useful to you regarding your app.
- Use to toggle between the different Latest Releases to display their results
- This graph displays the following:
- The X-axis has the dates listed.
- You can modify the date range, with the default being the last month.
- The Y-axis has the percentage of active users for the date range specified.
- This table shows data for total users and total app crashes within the last 30 minutes
- You can click on the ‘Streamview’ link to see a detailed summary of the data, taking you to the ‘Streamview’ tab.
- This extended table shows data about the release for the last 24 hours, including the following:
- The adoption and engagement table shows the percentage of active users for the app version and the average engagement time per session.
- Click the blue link at the bottom of the table to see a more detailed summary of the release. This will show you a pre-filtered view of the ‘Dashboard’ tab.
- This part of the table shows you the percentage of users that have not experienced a crash, and the average number of users that have experienced a crash in the last 10,000 user sessions.
- You can click the blue link at the bottom to see a more detailed summary of the app crash analytics. This link will take you to a pre-filtered view of the ‘Crashlytics’ tab.
