What is the Retention Section?

The Retention section provides analytics on retention rates for your app. The table shows you information about new user retention, which is the number of users that return to the app each day.

You have the ability to filter the default data results using the ‘Filters’ option. From the top of your New User Retention table, select the ‘Add Filter’ button. This will open a box that allows you to choose from the Properties sections, values and displays filters currently selected. When you have selected the filter that best fits your needs, select ‘Apply’ and the Dashboard will refresh with the filtered results.

The first graph shows the following data:

  • The X-axis has the dates listed.
      • You can modify the date range, with the default being the last 28 days.
  • The Y-axis has the percentage of users who return each day to the app, for the date range specified.

The second data table shows the same information as the graph above it, but in a more detailed view.

  • The left-side lists out the dates within the selected range.
      • You can modify the date range, with the default being the last 28 days.
  • The top lists out the dates within the selected range in a different format.
  • Below the dates is the average percentage of each column of data.
  • Within each column of data contains the percentage of users that returned to the app.

All of this information can be exported using the ‘Download CSV’ link in the right-hand corner of the page, when you select the three dot icon next to the date range.
