The Meetings Information Network (MINT+) database is a shared repository of information on organizations and their meetings and events. MINT+ helps destinations prospect intelligently by using both historical data and information on future bookings.
MINT+ Interface Overview
The MINT+ Platform contains three areas: the MINT+ Header, Left-Hand Navigation and Home Page.
MINT+ Header
The MINT+ Header is the uppermost portion of the MINT+ Product. The Header contains the search bar and User Profile Settings. The search bar lets users quickly access organization names, meeting names or specific contacts.
The User Profile Settings button allows you to navigate to ‘My Profile’, ‘My DMO Profile’ or sign out.
Left Navigation
The Left Navigation is persistent throughout the MINT+ platform and contains several menu options. The menus and a brief description of their functionalities are listed below.
The collapsible ‘MINT+’ section contains the following menu items:
- Query Builder: This tool allows users to create searches for specific information. For example, you may search for all meetings held in comparable cities in January or February. These queries can be saved and used again.
For more information about Query Builder, read ‘Query Builder Overview’.
- My Saved Queries: These are queries that MINT+ users at your DMO have created and marked for access later. Note that you can only delete your own Saved Queries.
For more information, read ‘My Saved Queries Overview’.
- Recommended Meetings: This menu displays conventions and meetings for your organization’s prospecting purposes. We use an algorithm based on bookings you have submitted to MINT+ to select meetings that closely match criteria related to your destination organization’s booking pattern.
For more information, read ‘Recommended Meetings Overview’.
- Flagged Meetings: This menu displays the meetings CRM users have flagged, either through the Recommended Meeting page, a query builder results list, or directly on the Meeting Profile. The user listed in the ‘User’ column marked these meetings for import from the Simpleview CRM.
- Booking Status: Use this menu to view Delinquent, Expired and Booked Records. You may export any of these record types into Excel.
Note: With MINT+ automation, you are no longer required to submit data manually. However, due to user requests, we have enabled these features for users who still want to submit data in addition to automation.
- Add to MINT+: This menu allows you to manually enter meeting information into the MINT+ database.
Note: With MINT+ automation, you are no longer required to submit data manually. However, due to user requests, we have kept these features enabled for users who still want to submit data in addition to automation.
How-To: This collapsible section contains video tutorials for frequent MINT+ questions.
Contact Us: Use this feature to contact the MINT+ support team. Your comments and the page you are on will be sent via email.
ESP: The Event Scoring Profile is a tool that helps your organization assess the suitability of a meeting for your destination. All MINT+ users have access to the ESP by default, but we do require the completion of a training course to ensure your success with the tool.
This feature will appear if enabled at the account level, and if you have permission to access it. If you don’t see it and want to learn more, contact support@mintplus.org for access.
ORDA: Click here to open ORDA, a software application that estimates an event's peak and total room demand.
This feature will appear if enabled at the account level, and if you have permission to access it. If you don’t see it and want to learn more, contact support@mintplus.org for access.
Home Page Content
The Home Page contains three sections: Updates, Announcements and ‘Your Stats for CRM Partners’.
Updates
The ‘Updates Since your Last Login’ section displays entries entered into the MINT+ database since your last login date. Entries are separated into New Organizations, New Meetings and New Occurrences. Users can view the respective updates for each section by clicking the arrows next to the number of updates.
Announcements
Simpleview uses the Home Page Announcements to inform users of upcoming Webinars and updates to the MINT+ platform.
Your Stats for CRM Partners
In the "Your Stats for CRM Partners" section, your organization can view the following statistics, both from the current month and the total year to date:
- Bookings Reported: The number of future bookings manually entered into MINT+
- Histories Reported: The number of historical bookings manually entered into MINT+
- Queries Run: The total number of Queries run by your organization
Due to MINT+ automation, you no longer need to report meetings manually. Thus, most organizations' Bookings Reported and Histories Reported stats will show zero.
